Corrections

How to report an error and what readers can expect from our review and correction process.

Last reviewed:

Accuracy matters, especially when readers are trying to understand health and safety records. We welcome specific, evidence-based correction requests and review them as promptly as practical.

What to send

Email sschen_cn@163.com with:

  • the URL of the page;
  • the statement you believe is inaccurate or incomplete;
  • a brief explanation of the issue; and
  • a link or copy of the strongest supporting source you have.

Please do not send sensitive medical, financial, or identity information. We need enough detail to investigate the published claim, not your private records.

What happens next

We compare the report with the article’s cited material and any newer primary sources. We may contact the sender for clarification. A request does not guarantee a change: differences of interpretation, unsupported assertions, and requests to remove accurate public information may be declined.

When a factual error is confirmed, we correct the page. Material corrections should include a visible note describing the substance of the change and the correction date. Smaller spelling, grammar, formatting, or broken-link fixes may be made without a correction note when they do not change meaning.

If the central premise of a page can no longer be supported, we may substantially revise it or retain a clearly labeled notice explaining why it should no longer be relied upon. We avoid silently deleting material solely to conceal an editorial mistake.

Other requests

For privacy, legal, copyright, or access concerns rather than factual corrections, use the details on our Contact page and identify the nature of the request in the subject line.
