Privacy Policy

How Artifact4U handles analytics, advertising technologies, cookies, and privacy requests.

Last reviewed:

Information collected automatically

Artifact4U uses basic server logs and Google Analytics to understand whether pages load correctly and which resources are useful. These systems may process an IP address, browser and device information, referring page, approximate location, page views, and interaction events. Artifact4U does not ask readers to create an account to read the blog.

Cookies and advertising

Google Analytics and, when advertising is enabled, Google AdSense may use cookies, web beacons, IP addresses, or similar identifiers to measure usage, prevent abuse, and select or measure advertising. Google and its partners may use information from visits to this and other sites in accordance with Google’s own policies. Readers can review how Google uses information from sites that use its services and manage advertising preferences through Google’s ad settings.

During the current site-review period, Artifact4U does not render display-ad units. The AdSense verification script may still be present on eligible editorial articles so Google can verify the site.

Where legally required, consent controls will be presented before advertising or non-essential measurement technologies are enabled. Artifact4U will use a Google-recognized consent management platform before serving personalized advertising in the European Economic Area, the United Kingdom, or Switzerland.

Articles link to FDA, openFDA, manufacturers, and other primary sources. The Recall Checker is hosted on a separate Artifact4U subdomain and has its own privacy notice. External services control their own data practices, and following a link may allow that service to receive standard request information.

Retention and sharing

Analytics and security information is retained only as needed for measurement, reliability, fraud prevention, and legal obligations. Artifact4U does not sell personal information. Information may be processed by hosting, analytics, advertising, and email infrastructure providers strictly for the services they provide, or disclosed when required by law.

Your choices and contact

You can block or delete cookies in your browser, use browser privacy controls, or disable advertising personalization through Google. Blocking some technologies may affect measurement but does not prevent access to the editorial content.

For privacy questions or requests, email sschen_cn@163.com and include “Privacy” in the subject line. Do not send medical records, prescription images, identification documents, passwords, or other unnecessary sensitive information.
